Omega 8004 vs 8003
Omega 8004 VS 8003 Comparison
The Omega 8003 has been popular amongst avid juicers for year and years. It is a great juicer that produces high quality juice that preserves the natural vitamins, minerals, and live enzymes.
As great as the Omega 8003 was, Omega set out to make a better juicer. Have they succeeded? Let’s compare the Omega 8004 vs 8003 and find out if that’s the case.
There are about 8 major differences between the Omega j8004 vs j8003. Some minor and some you should really pay attention to. Let’s begin.
The Omega 8004 and the 8003 have slightly different design. The 8004 has a built in handle, while the 8003 has a flip up handle. I personally prefer the built in handle. I think it looks better and it feels more sturdier.
The 8004 also comes with bigger juice bowl and pulp container. This may not sound like a big deal, but it does make a difference. When you are juicing larger quantities, you want the larger containers to capture all the juice and pulp. Changing them in the middle of juicing can be very messy and annoying.
The Omega j8004 also comes with a larger funnel. It’s handy when you want to juice smaller pieces of fruits because the bigger funnel will catch them all.
There is also a slight comestic difference on the bottom of the juicers. The 8004 is more stream lined. I also prefer the look of the 8004. Take a look at the photos I’ve posted and see for yourself.
Differences That Really Matter:
The Omega j8004 improved on the j8003 model by creating an auger that is 8 times stronger then the 8003. The auger takes the most punishment when you juice. By using a super strong material, it ensures you won’t have to worry about the auger breaking.
You might not have thought of this, but the people at Omega did. They changed the location of the on and off switch from the top of the juicer, on the 8003, to the back of the juice on the 8004. I know you are thinking: Who cares? You should. with the switch on top, it gets wet easily. Accidents do happen, and sometimes people spill. Do I really need to tell you what happens when water meets electronics?
The Omega 8004 comes with a 15 year warranty, while the 8003 has a 10 year warranty. That makes a big difference. The 15 year warranty on the 8004 is the best warranty among all juicers.
The 8004 is about $30 more than the 8003. Even though both of these juicers have the exact same motor, all the extra improvements you get from the 8004 more than justifies the difference in price.
I think the choice is pretty clear. Omega achieved what they set out to do, which was to make a better juicer. The 8004 is better in just about all the categories. It is designed better, with better material, and a much longer warranty. Best part is the price difference is only $30! It should be a no brain-er to choose the Omega 8004.
